Hey Brett from Ireland. Just saw the movie and it blew my mind. You portayed the X-men in further dimensions than Singer and Im hoping youll be on board for the X4 or Wolverine movies. Ive never had such an adrenalin rush from watching a movie. (one piece of advice... juggernaut isnt a mutant) Well done on realising the X-mens potential.

Mr. Ratner: Judging by the trailers/teasers and the many interviews I've read, it looks like you've stayed true to the series and the fans. It must have been a spectacularly difficult undertaking, especially with all the disparaging and downright mean remarks that the "fans" were saying about you. Thanks much for coming through for the rest of us! Looks like the 3 year wait was well worth it! ;D Ms. Berry: My biggest beef in the previous 2 X-Men movies (both of which were amazing, by the way) was the parts they gave you. I'm delighted to see that you got a bigger part that allows you to do much more justice to your portrayal of Storm. Storm's always been my favorite character and is such a huge presence in the comics. Way to go! Oh yes, almost forgot....props on the much improved hairstyle. While the long hair Ororo sports in the comics tends to have a much more dramatic effect when she's flying or totally pissed off , this is real life and this is most definitely the best style so far. Kudos! You guys rock, and as always.....Make Mine Marvel!

Hi Ratner, kudos in making X3 - one thing that concerns me though is that why is the rumtime for this 3rd instalment so short? I understand if u do not wish to make the movie too draggy... but for a blockbuster that has a lot of characters and development involved... don't ya think that more time should be given to these characters to make us understand and empathised them?
I felt Angel, Kitty and Colossus are underplayed... Mystique's role is underplayed... same goes for Rogue though... I am not complaining abt the Phoenix having no firebird effects cos it is not that important! I am also cool abt the the deaths in the characters, but Cyclop's death shd be more credible as well as Prof X's justified death, what about poor Cyclops who is forgotten immediately, we dun see him get killed though it was juz intonations/speculations from the Wolverine/Storm but we dun see it visually...
Otherwise, i felt the movie lack emotional drive, and the X-MEN weren't given enuf time to grief for the loss... Also Jean gets killed again? Is there possiblity she will return to X4 because the Phoenix is juz an entity, whereas the real Jean is in suspended animation at the bottom of Alkali Lake? Bring back Jean please! otherwise overrall good job - good preentation of Beast, he was essential whereas Angel is juz a waste of time... Angel should be the one that insinuate the cure cos of his vanity and impulsive personality...
But u didnt play Angel to that chartacter which instead include his father which absolutely has no ploy to be in the movie... Angel himself could be the driven force that cause the hulabaloo of the cure, not his father... int eh comics, Warren III is portrayed as the narcisstic, vain, impulsive mutant but in the movie he is like the daddy's boy, sigh.....

To Brett Ratner: What does it take to be a director?? What qualities do you need in order to achieve being a director?? What do you do as a director??? For example: do you tell the actor and actresses what to do? To Halle Berry: What does it take to be an actress??? What qualities do you need in order to achieve being an actress??? -pip_lil_pop@hotmail.com

Yo Brett, they were right you ruined it. (SPOILERS) If your stupid **** tease Writers wana try and make a name for themselves by killing everyone and getting rid of everyones powers, than they should have done it somewhere else. The movie was ****. I cant believe you allowed those things to happen. Why even put mystique, cyclops the professor or rogue in the movie. With the stunt you just pulled by allowing this Comic book blasphemy to occur. You might as well have gone back to X2 and killed the characters off there. And i know The cure might not have worked, cause Magneto got his powers back and so will rogue and Mystique. so then...whats the point of the movie even happening if everythings just going to be reversed to the same as it was. Oh except they wont have their leaders cyclops and Prof.X oh...wait stupid me, xavier, he'll just be in another body. Your writers, you said they were the biggest x-fans you know. well in my opinion they should be banished from ever writing anything X-related again. They Dont know ****, from what i saw. Im almost embarrassed to be an X-man fan but i just have to remind myself that there iss nothing from the well established x-men comics, that so many hard working writers and visionaries poured their heart and souls into. I almost feel bad for them for having to be related to it but then again they created the real thing. you and your executive, fancy pants, hollywood, money grubbing, jerk offs just ruined the movie trilogy. Go do your playboy hot stuff **** elsewhere cause it sure didnt fly with the x-men movie.

You can choose not to post this but if anything send it to Brett Ratner. Mr. Ratner after seeing the trailers you really had me and many of us convinced that you pulled off maybe the best of the three. I just got home from seeing the midnight showing and i am very let down. You are the director. You had control of the whole thing. You made a movie that did not do the characters justice. I feel cheated and from what i have been reading and what other people said in the theater, they did as well. You obviously didn't know these characters or the universe. I know you didn't write the story but you had direction over what occurred throughout the meaningless hour and forty four minutes. Please make this YOUR LAST STAND with this franchise.

I think this movie is bad and the only reason for this was Halle because she wanted more screentime. They should stop casting major stars to superhero movies. Cyclops had 5 min of screentime (for you that don't know he is the LEADER of the X-Men) and then he dies in an ungloriuos way, Angel was a very poor character. The only good character of this movie was Jean. By a big fan of the X-Men.

Halle, you are the greatest actress of our time, and an inspiration to me. Whenever I feel like quitting I think about you, and that gives me the strength to keep going. You are the perfect Storm, and I probably wouldn't even be interested in X-Men if you weren't in the movies.
Brett, I know the movie will be great thanks to your amazing directing skills. I wish you the best of luck with all your future movies

I am sorry to tell that I was really disappointed with X-men: the last stand. Well, the movie would be really good if it didn't deal with X-men. It is true that Storm is more important in this episode (at last!), and that scenes with Jean Grey/Dark phenix are really spectacular, but... it is not x-men! As a fan of X-men comics, I can't find them in that movie. How could they kill Scott Summers after 10 minutes, and Xavier after 30 minutes? (approximatively!) Jean Grey is not Scarlett Witch! And killing Scott, Xavier and Jean (well, what happens to Jean in comic books) is like killing x-men spirit (they are the Holy Trinity!). It is the end of x-men! It is the Age of Apocalypse! In those 3 movies, Cyclops was only a walker-on though he is x-men leader! And what about Jean and Logan's love story taking the place of Jean and Scott's one? It is a pity, because, actors were wonderful (especially Jean) and images really beautiful. And because those two female characters were really beautiful: Storm as the successor of Xavier, a goddess of life, and Jean as the Lady of Chaos! To Halle: you are such a wonderful women and a symbol for afro-american community. Like Storm. May God allows you to have a more and more successful career!
A french spectator (sorry for langage mistakes!!!)

*flips his beanie for your directing* mr. ratner, i have been waiting for this movie for a long time and it was a real treat to come home very satisfied today. i thought you portrayed the x-men movieverse to a "T". i knew i would love your vision and it will make a welcomed addition to the trilogy/series. i'm still in hype mode from all of it really and am hoping that there will be more to come. *hint, hint* lol. you left me with surprises and things i already assumed. i'm still cheering for an oscar of some sorts because that's what it deserves. whoop, whoop! hehe! by the way, can i get you to make a storm spin-off with halle because you rocked the character in this one!...? ;D #1 fan of x-men: the last stand/director brett ratner, cyclonefury@ a.k.a. ~christopher sean~ grooveboi@hotmail.com
*floored by the performance* mz. berry, i've been following your superhero roles very closely and might i say for both catwoman and storm, i have been truly amazed about both dramatizations of the characters. but seeing how this is for my favorite/ultimate x-woman, storm, i'm gapsing at how you truly brought this character into focus in all the x-men films. i truly believe that you can be the only storm in the movieverse of the x-men. i've heard you said that if there was to be a storm spin-off you wouldn't do it. maybe if there was a x-men 4 film you could do me the honor of portraying the character again. all in all, storm would be successful as a stand-alone character as the fanbase is wide for her. not only that, your and amazing actress. ;D thank you mz berry for your work and the perfection you brought to the character. i hope you feel better from all the wire work too. #1 storm/catwoman/bond... okay halle berry fan cyclonefury@ a.k.a ~christopher sean~ grooveboi@hotmail.com

As a long-time fan of the source material, I would like to say that this film exceeded all of my expectations. Ratner has managed to honor the general feel of Singer's work, while at the same time, introduce a greater sense of urgency, which gives this film a pace closer to that of the original subject matter. Since the comics have been going for over forty years with no end in sight, it is no small feat to give this series a sense of climax and finality, however, Mr. Ratner has managed to do just that. X-Men: The Last Stand is a solid finale that general movie-goer and comic fan alike should be able to appreciate and enjoy.
