Wow! Really WC? I'm just curious, is there somthing that really stands out that you don't like about them? Just wondering........ No not really, but what's the point of liking them? I'm never going to meet them, and I would NEVER want to get close to them. I do admire their acting though....

I loved the Lord of the Rings, but was I the only one that wished Gandolf would have at least fried just one orc?

A wisard blast! or lightning! Your right coldfinger..... I never thought of that before..... I'm glad you said something.... That would have been sooo cool! WolverineClaws, Your right..... I think it would be weird actually meeting them.... I would have no idea what to do or say..... I have a bad habit of babbling when I get nervous so i would probably talk them away from me. Sad really.....

A wizard blast? Lightning? Hmm, yeah. Let's deviate from the book even more. Gandalf took out more than his fair share of Orcs and Uruk-Hai during the course of the movie. That should be more than enough.
If you wanted a display of power from Gandalf, they should have kept in where it was he that summoned the horses from within the Bruinen river and not Arwen as it was heavily implied.
It was a great scene in the book between himself and Frodo and I did miss that.

I haven't read the books... but I wouldn't have cared if I did.... I really wish Gandalf had done something more! And I liked the scene where it was Arwen who summoned the horses.

I'm not a huge nit picker. Especially not for a bookie.
Gandalf doesn't need to show off with that sort of display. Ian McKellens performance hinted at everything and sometimes subtlety works better than being too in your face with things.
I've done the 3 movies in one night too. The EE's. I was planning on doing it before I got my internet connection back after moving home. But I got as far as Fellowship and got too bogged down with other things. Oops. I must reserve a day to do it again sometime.

I was really happy with Ian Mcclellan's preformance but I always pictured him in the books doing it, and it really wouldn't have hurt the movie for me ;D If I remember correctly didn't the leave out the part where he fought the Witch King? That was an epic battle and I was sad it was not included......

I loved this triology. I hated having to wait a year to get the next part of the saga. i now own the three original versions plus the three extended verious. This is by far one of the best triologys ever made.
