Yeah a TV series of X-Men would suck. Storm, Cyke, Iceman and Colossus would look like crap because their characters are be really expensive to bring to life... Especially Storm... She'd probably send the whole production into bankruptcy. lol

well have you seen generation X? mortal combat? mutant x? the effects were pretty bad. im ok with bad effects as long as they have good stories, but they all had both bad effects and bad plots.
tv shows based on comics/books are always bad, esp if it has to do with powers
and the differance with HEROES is that their powers arnt as "fantastic" as xmen. so it doesnt look as corny nor as expensive to make. engery beams, optic blastc, telekentic engergys are pretty hard to translate and expensive into a tv show... esp if theyre goin to do it on every episode.
a xmen tv show should just stick with animation and not live action for a tv series. plus we would get more fantastic journys in an animation then in a live action series...

Not with telekinesis. They can use fishing wire!!! ;D Just imagine a Jean Grey causing havoc and above the studio there's guys with all these fishing wires attached to like chairs an stuff That would work! Honest!

Oh well, juz take a good clear look at Charmed... the charmed ones have very similar powers to the X-MEN... they used chessy low budget effects which always work cos it is juz TV, so audience might able to forgive a little bit... ;D Like Prue Halliwell had telekinesis, Piper freezes time and explodes objects or beings, Phoebe with premonition, and Paige with orbing powers and teleportation powers... they can work for a simple X-MEN TV sseries...

ye but another thing is getting the right actors cos pppl like famke hugh and halle wouldnt do it cos there big time movie stars doin movies not TV shows n they might pik the wrong ppl so even though it kinda sounds like a gd idea i think it would be a bad bt i understand y a lot of ppl would want a TV seris

i Think the only way they could do it is if they had like 3 or 4 X-Men and never mention any of the others or just have the others cameo in an episode like The X-Men Prof.X Jean Grey Storm Cyclops Wolverine That is it no more maybe one more every season to make it fresh like maybe Rogue joins the second season and the third Gambit and so on and so forth.

Oh well, look at Buffy! The movie in 1992 starring Kristy Swanson kickstart with a bang... though she looks cool in the movie version, it spawned the TV series which Sarah Michelle Gellar took over the role and she kick major butt, and the TV series became a HUGE hit all over the world... So why cant X-MEN spawned a TV series and perhaps have new actors or even less famous actors to take over and thre is no reason why the series cannot be a success! Look at Hugh, Famke and Halle... when they started out in the very 1st X-MEN movie, they are virtually unknowns, only after Oscar awards and several other blockbuster movies, then they become household names... u know what i mean...

U are right, jonbotz, i agree with u, but if u dun mind, try to use punctuation please like commas and full stop. It is really very difficult trying to read your post, u know.. haha, juz a friendly reminder.
Anyway, i agree that i would love to see the Ultimate X-MEN version or even the Astonishing X-MEN version. The Ultimate X-MEN would be cool, cos it features all the X-MEN characters in their younger days - in fact Ultimate showcased Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm and Beast, who are young adults who juz graduated from Xavier's School of Gifted Youngsters, of course with Logan (as a loner/outkast - what else?)
They even have teenagers in the series like Iceman, Rogue, Kitty, Colossus, Nightcrawler and much later Gambit in the picture... that's coolness!!! We could have FOX arranged a new X-MEN movie series with the new cast as the younger version of X-MEN, that would cool, how abt that?
