1) No flaming, trolling, or swearing.
This is a family place. Try to play nice.
2) No double posting or spamming.
I know sometimes double posts happen, but try not to. Also, please stay on topic. Spamming just to get your post count up wont help you at all.
3) No typing in caps or excessive use of characters [!!!!!].
Come on, we're all mature posters here, are we not? Posting in all caps is bothersome to the eyes and most members would rather not see it. Posting in such ways let everyone know not to take you seriously.
4) Don't create multiple threads on the same topic, instead use the search feature to find a similar thread.
Search is a big help. Especially when you're new and don't know this forum very well. We don't need seven threads on one subject.
5) Before posting in a thread, try reading at least the last few pages of the thread and keep moderately on-topic.
Try not to go too off topic. I know it happens sometimes, but if you are constantly doing it you will be warned.
6) No posting links to offensive/illegal sites [ie, "shock sites"], posting objectionable pictures [ie, porn], or discussing illegal activities [ie, how to get a pirated copy of...].
This is pretty simple, and doesn't need to be explained why.
7) Listen to the staff, don't try to find a loophole in the rules, and use your common sense. When in doubt, PM a staff member.
Ant, TOB, Cookie, Cat, Bill, Adiago, and myself are here to help. Don't be afraid to ask us questions.
8) Signatures.
The signature rules can be found here.
Anyone who doesn't follow these rules will be warned. If you are warned, a warning bar will appear under your user name (ie- Warning Level - 33%, 66%, 99%). Everyone gets three warnings. If needed, the Zero-Posts punishment system may also be used (1). After that, a banning will be in order.
You guys have been doing great without rules for a long while, and I really didn't want to create rules. But a few posters here find it difficult to follow orders.
