Hullo! I have a question about the X-Men movies, as I'm curious about the children who go to the school of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. I've never read the comics or seen the shows I'm afraid (but I have plans to do so!) so I'm sorry I don't already know the answer to this.
In the movie X-Men, Professor Xavier explains to Wolverine about the students who have come to the school. We see a lot of very young children there to, some who look ten or younger. Xavier said that some of them where runaways, and of course some of them would have been treated badly because of being mutants. But how did all the children come to the school? The ones who ran away would never have known to come to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, as Xavier explained that to the public it was just a school for gifted youngsters, but it didn't have anything to do with mutants. So they would never have known how to get there. The children probably would have never known a place like that existed for them.
Is it Cerebro? I know Xavier can use it to help him find the locations of mutants. Was he able to sense and know where young mutants where who needed help? And when he did discover children who needed help, who had runaway or where hurt or in danger or who could truly belong in the school, did he send his X-Men team to find them? Would he send Cyclops and the other members of the team, Jean, Storm, and the rest of the X-Men to find and rescue them? Afterall some of them would be in danger being mutants and if they where on their own they could get hurt. So I imagine Xavier keeps watch on them and those who may need help through Cerebro. They found Nightcrawler through Cerebro, and Storm and Jean went to take him to the school, so I imagine they do that for the children to. After all, the school had lots of students!
If so, it's very kind of them to help all the mutants in need of help!
Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my question!
