UBBC TutorialBecause HTML code could be dangerous enough to mess up an entire board, it is disabled in most communities. Fear not, we still have a way to format our posts using UBBC. UBBC stands for Universal Bulletin Board Code.
First thing to know is there are things called tags. Each tag starts with a bracket ([) and ends with a bracket (]), a word or letter between these two brackets differentiates one type of format from another. Tags are usually found in pairs, with the end tag containing a slash (/) after the first bracket. Only the stuff between the pairs of brackets is affected.
Code:This is bold and this is not.
Produces:
This is bold and this is not.
You can use multiple tags when formatting your text, but they must be properly
nested. Nesting tags is easy to do and understand, but hard to explain. Say you want your text to be both
bold and
italics. First, we wrap our word with one pair of tags. I chose bold.
Code: This text will be bold.
Produces:
This text will be bold.Then, we wrap the other pair around. Close the tags in the reverse order in which you opened them. The first tag opened is the last one closed, one pair of tags should wrap or contain the other.
Code: This text will be bold and italics.
Produces:
This text will be bold and italics.NOT: This text will be bold and italics.
Right, now on to the actual codes!

hexadecimal color code (0000ff [note that the # is not needed])
[glow=red,2,300]With a glow[/glow]: [glow=red,2,300]With a glow[/glow]
- Note: I never bothered to use this code because it only shows up in Internet Explorer, and I am using Firefox. Thank Mozilla for sparing me from eye-hurting gaudy glowing text.
[shadow=red,left,300]With a shadow[/shadow]: [shadow=red,left,300]With a shadow[/shadow]
- Note: Same as above. Doesn't work in Firefox.

Inserting _____Link:
Link - Note: Just copy and paste the entire address between the equal sign (=) and the first closing bracket (]). Don't forget the
http:// part or it won't work.

- Note: Copy and paste the entire address of the image between the

- Note: This produces a horizontal divider.
That's it! Well, not really. There are other tags you can use, but you can get along fine with just these, so be happy.
