Ok guys that's enough. Debate is fine but don't let it get to this. And I agree somewhat to what FrozenAl is saying about X1, 2 and 3. But I also understand your point of view about some character developments. I was really hoping Storm got a bigger role and it happened. Also I would have liked to see the other characters developments too. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for Rogue in this one.
Anyway please try to get along a little better then this.

Thank you RogueSB for coming to this - he was getting unreasonable for a moment... *BIG HUGS* to the Southern Belle leader. I am not saying i am totally right - I was proving a point and names were called to me - I was partly at fault for reacting to it where i should have ignored in the first place... I guessed it snowballed before i knew it... I beg your pardon...

I bore you FroZenAl? IM not here to entertain you...
and after what RogueSB said u still insult me? Shows ur level of maturity...
Ps Rogue did develope in this movie...she had to make a choice wether she wanted to change who she really was or stay the same and not be able to touch...
props to her for making that tough choice and for handling her power the way she wanted too...i think what she did was really emotional and makes me respect her and like her even more...

That's not a development wolfgang. It all had to do with her feelings if she would go through with this cure and was pushed towards it by seeing Kitty and Bobby skating on the pond.

true...but deep down she still wanted to be able to "touch" other ppl and thats something about Rogue that I admire...she is always struggling with herself but she doesnt really show it...
that Kitty Bobby thing just sparked her decision but its always been something on her mind...she finally thought it through and went with it not for Bobby, but it is what she wanted...
she must be really happy now...although you shouldnt change who you are, its her life and not being able to touch is a horrible horrible curse..

That's not a development wolfgang. It all had to do with her feelings if she would go through with this cure and was pushed towards it by seeing Kitty and Bobby skating on the pond. I cannot ever recall Rogue ever being satisfied or happy with her powers - aside from her desire to kill Magneto and experience Bobby's powers via a kiss in X2. Getting rid of her powers was more than just about seeing Bobby and Kitty ice skating on the school's pond. Rogue dominated most of X1. Why is it necessary that she dominate all three movies? Story and character wise, you can't really go very far with her powers . . . considering that one has to deal with other mutants in all three movies. I think that X2 proved that.

i look at it more like her story really came through in X1 and made us familiar with her...in X3 I thought they chose the right thing for her...in the comics and in the cartoons she struggled with her inability to touch and i thought it was a great emotional struggle for her character in X3...i didnt want to see Rogue absorbing powers and another character in a fight scene...i like the emotional path she took in X3...

I still think Rogue should have more exposure in her role - her role inteh novel is much more justifiable than in the film itself - sigh....

I think her role was justified and perfect in the movie...she added a lot to the emotional feel in the movie since she considered her power a curse and it was her decision to "change" who she was...I mean she did that in the comics and in the cartoons...
very emotional and a big controversy whether you should "change" who you are...Rogue is probly one of the few characters who portrayed that feeling of being "cursed" that is very common in society...

i agree she did do that in the comics but she actually had perseverence and kept her powers instead of throwing them away like in the movie

I believe Rogue has her struggles but her struggles are magnified in the novelisation and that was much cut out from the movie - if ppl didnt read the novel they wont understand how much pain rogue is going thru - but then again i believe ppl who read the novel would understand why Rogue wanted the cure and we empathise with her - but the movie didnt reflect all of that... Sad!

that makes complete sense though, books go into more detail because you use ur imagination and so it needs to be more desciptive....the movie went into that well but obvioulsy nowhere near as deep as a book...

However in X2, the movie was more compelling than the novel - so cant compare to that... It is hard to say.. it is all abt the way the treatment of the film is going....
