Hey Guys,
I saw the movie today in the first session with my girlfriend and then again in the last session.
As many have already stated it was a little fast paced and the newer characters didnt get much screen time but all put together it was still awesome (Especially the last 30mins). It had great special effects and great use of some of the mutants powers which looked amazing. Iceman breaking into full ice was amazing and Storm lifted her potential. Kelsey Grammer was an outstanding Beast and no one else could have played it better. Wolverine was Wolverine, just kicks *** and Hugh Jackman couldnt have done any better. Only con that bothered me was that with the abundance of new characters the lack of story on them was a bit cut, but still rather good to see them in the movie, such as Angel, Multiple Man and Juggie.
Will there be a 4th, with an ending like that there has to be and majority thinks there should be.
Overall me and pretty much all of my mates gave it a 9/10. And also Hats off to Brett who I thought did a great job coming into the production late.
Thanks

I think the reason some of the newer character (which didn't die), X3 was some sort of an introduction to them for future X-Movies, looked like that. Another character I would of have wanted to see more of, much more was Colossus, it was like they just left him outside (even though he was in the X-Men team), that really bugged me, he barely had any lines! :/

Frozen is this supposed to be your review or is it just an X-Men: The Last Stand synopsis. If it is you should not post it here sugah. I think it will fit better on another thread Well we just got back from X3 and I have two words to say: Incredibly fantastic!! Man this movie was so breath taking. But the first half of the scenes went by so fast. At some point you could notice the scenes were cut. Apart from that I really enjoyed this movie and gonna see it a couple more times. When the final battle was starting I was in total awe watching every part of the screen. Hugh, Kelsey, Halle, Ellen, Shawn... well everyone though, they were really amazing. And I must say that I really loved how Kitty phased Juggernaut into the floor. He actually said it lol *referring to the Juggernaut dub on youtube*. Wow Halle, what can I say... She was amazing, her flight and powers... those should have been there from the beginning. And Bobby icing up was also something I was looking forward to and it looked better on the big screen Hmm... I'll join the others and rate it 9/10 as well.

And nowww.......*dramatic drumroll* what you all have been waiting for.... Kitty's Reveiw of X-men 3:The Last Stand. (dun dun DUUUUN) Oh and yes this is quite Spoilerific...but I suppose that won't matter tomorrow... Tonight at 8:30 I bought some popcorn.A simple mundane act that many would not even include in an internet post, let alone a review. However it was the purpose of the popcorn which is what I intended to Discuss tonight, It kept me nourised whilst I beheld the latest movie adventures of our beloved mutants. Now at this time I am quite undecided on a final opinion of this film, I may have to see it again. The one thing I can say is, it was very rushed scenes felt like they were cut away premeturely, that there could have been more. I certainly thought there could have been more having seen pictures of certain things that did not even appear in the film. Now in the wise words of Julie Andrews "lets start at the very beggining its a very good place to start" I enjoyd the young Jean Scene! The actress who played Jeans mum looked A LOT like Famke..I mean it was like they were related it was SCARY. I loved the rapor Xavier and Magneto had with eachother in that scene. Then we have younf angel scene...you seen the clip of that?..because that is It that is the entire scene...then we have the titley thingy which was alright.... DAnger room - now I was a little dissapointed with the danger room they could have done more but I suppose it didn't REALLY have anything to do with the plot. OH gosh they had the line "best defense is a good offence" which gets cheesly repeated at the end. I liked the whole Cure stuff, they should have done more with that, especailly more with angel they practically show angels part in all the clips, he is just there to look pritty ( somthing he does VERY well ) Rogue did....well what she did was good there just wasn't a lot of it. The love triangle was dissapionted APPRENTLY just looks and holding hands is a love triangle? quite underdeveloped, and as much as I hate to say it the iceskating bit was quite uncessesary. Collosuss said one line! and it was about 5 words long, maybe less, poor guy. don't even get my started on Scottie I felt so bad for him...*sigh* and he didn't even say JJJJEEEEEEEAAAANNNNNNN which dissapointed me, and his death was very overlooked everyone was just "scott who?" I was actually suprised he got a gravestone! Storm was irritating,"opionistic" became cut scenes premuturely and not let people speak Rolo = bad, there was a hint at it. Now JEan was Brillient! Famke did herself proud, the flicks from Nice jean to EVIL jean showed compleatly mastery of multi role play, phoenix effects loooked down right SCARY..I was scared. JEan did a lot of standing around but when she spoke she was brillient! THE best bit is in the lab when she first wakes up..her face when she realises what has happened to Scott ( i personally don't think he did Die because We don't actually see it happen!) *crosses fingers* plus she throws wolvrine into the wall and Owns those doors, Oh and then the proffessor comes in and basically says "told you so" to logan which amused me. Now JEans house bit, was a very good scene, a very good scene indeed. 1. Quill thinks he can take on storm. Amusing. 2. Arcilight. Amusing. 3. Storm and Callisto fight Storms face when she realises she is losing is amusing. Now the bit with the Proff and Jean was brillient, it really was, the way the proffessor went was spectacular! I really liked that Famke was Amazing again as phoenix. and the proffs face being blown about by intense wind is once again, amusing. Xaiver has the biggest gravestone I ever did see! Ummm....now I am having trouble recollecting the Rest... . Cameos/small parts: Physlokes bit was a little dissapionting - no psy knife. shame. Multiple Man is just plain Cool. Arclight was the prefect comic relief..at one point I thought she was going to speak Alas no. I'm afraid collosuss can be included in this - HE was good though I just wish they did more. JUbes - nothing Syrin - nothing...even the TV kid got to do somthing. Moria MCtaggart was in it! I liked that. Juggernaught Annoyed me, he was just...meh...didn't excite me at all. ok big battle scene- was good. Very good I liked it muchly, Beast was quite legandry in it. Mageto Brillient. Callisto and Storm AGAIN that was still very entertaining. I am VERY VERY suprised at how many people Jean Demolecul demolcueler Vaporises. LOADS of people die by Jean. ICeman Vs Pyro - now I liked that, very good. ICeman iceing up looked better on the big screen. Iceman pyro interaction was all good. Ending was a little meh...the whole dark phoenix thing and wolverine saving the day didn't excite me. But I guess any Cyclops fan would say that. Now Kitty....He juggernaught bit was amazing as ever. And when she was in the classroom being all intelligent as using quotes was good. Brett Ratners seems to just like to cut to kitty in scenes, it looks like she is going to say somthing then it just cuts away. But I did like her part in it! She seemed to be the only person who got upset about deaths. the ending to me seemed a little Cheesy. OH OH magneto at the end was cool. and I was sad about mystique, but she got her revenge. lol! Now I am tired and can't think of anymore bits... OH MY GOSH extra scene at the end made me gasp. And thats about it...I need to go see it again. -END-

Hey guys! U all wrote brilliant reviews! i love readin what others think about movies ;D OMG! I watched the movie only hours ago and im still impressed by ratners good job. X3 is sooooooooo freakin awesome! I mean, most movies don't have any serious turning points that impact their main characters lives. They go on and on with the same lame plot. But X3 is different! There are so many things happening, leaves u no time to breath. Not only Mystique and Rogue are cured (Why, oh why? *cries*) but also so many people die a sudden unpredictable death. OMG i love it when the characters suffer. *laughs* Magneto is such an *******! How can he leave Mystique lyin helpless on the floor? How dare he??? This was one of the most sad moments of the movie. well it shows us what kind of man magneto is. And why did Rogue have to be cured? I loved her powers that were both gift and curse. Also she got far 2 less screentime! Thank god Jean Grey as a mutant of CLASS FIVE got enough screentime! lol Famkes acting is amazing! u really get a touch of jeans tormented soul. Jean: "Save me!" Logan: "I love u!" Kitty aswell was a awesome new x-member! Before i saw the movie she appeared more like a tiny child to me, but she was really likeable. Not to mention that her powers r great 2. What i didnt understand: How did our six x-men survive an armee of mutants? And: What happened to Pyro in the end? I forgot to stay until this extra scene What happened there, hmm? "We r the cure!" *hehe* Bye, me

Hehehe, i wont say it is the best cliffhangar yet, i think Jean's from X2 was the best! If u noticed earlier part of teh movie when Charles was giving a lecture to the students at his office, he claims that Dr Moira and him are on the verge of breaking science, inthe video there lies a catatonic body whereby that man lying there is brain-dead or rather comatosed. Though the body is still living, the brain is dead. However further research shows that for a mutant telepath, he can actually transfer his conscious into a catatonic body and thus come to life but only in a differnet shell.... So when Prof X was demolecularized by Dark Phoenix, not all hope is lost that he transferred his mind and conscious to that body, that means Charles is still alive!!
Abt Magneto moving that chess piece, the part of blink-and-you-will-miss-it part, it shows the cure isn't permanent, so that means Rogue and Mystique will get their powers back and it isn't temporary... LOL!
I am sure u like the show.... did ya read my review? I am slightly disappoionted cos the storyline of X3 is bland, i felt they shd hav more character development and develop the new characters more...Apart from Beast, who got gets quite afew screentime, the others were underplayed... Oh well, we did see more of Kitty besides the trailers and TV spots/preview, but it is only juz appearances... Colossus is however silent most of the time, besides seeing him in danger room sequence, funeral & final battle and the part he carries the large TV, he hardly appears anymore, SAD! I felt cheated by Angel's appearance, he shouldnt even be in the movie cos his role was so insignificant!!! I feel bad for Ben Foster though..
That's the problem of too many cast in the film and i think Ratner tried too hard to include too many characters that dilutesd the film, so sad! Otherwise Dark Phoenix rocks and dun cha love kitty's line when she calls Juggie Dickhead? LOL! Othersie, special F/X: A, storyline: B-, character development: C+

that had to be the funniest part of the whole movie! I was sorta dissappointed with Rogue, i wanted her to come back all noble, but besides that the movie kicked @$$!!! there is too much to say that i cant fit it all....and its 2:30 at night. ;D

Rogue was really wimpy and not sympathetic at all. She huddles under Colossus in Danger Room (she should have been kicking tail!). And the rest of her role just seemed like a bad soliloquy of the ****** Monologues "You're Such a Guy, Bobby" and "I did because it's what I wanted."
boo-hoo, pass me the tissue!

I just saw this movie today and on an action scale it was probably the best of the X men movies. A shame they have made every movie all about Wolverine but it is a business and they need to make ends meet. You can't blame them with an Australian in the cast. The irony was the first preview shown was for Singer's Stuperman. ;D Prequels and sequels don't hurt either! Rogue has to come back a mutant like Magneto in the next sequel because that it would make the introduction of Gambit pointless. And you can't have another X men without Gambit! Wolverine - love the ending where he just keeps going even though everything is literally falling apart. The question is why didn't Magneto turn him into an admantium soup can if he has no sympathy for peaceful mutants? Juggernaut - I am biased but I liked when he was on the screen and he was great as the human wrecking ball. Terrific to see someone other than Magneto kick Wolverine's arse but the ending wasn't fitting for someone like that. I had no problem with his lines because you can't expect that character to read Shakespeare for chrissakes! But he shouldn't have been made a mutant for the film. Why didn't Jugs just run through them all if he isn't a mutant? Magneto - terrific action scenes with the bridge and freeway scene where he busts them out. The similarity between Al Qaeda's videos from the caves and scenes with his rant was well done. He'll be back. Multiple Man - great use of his powers in his one main scene Mystique - Evil b1tch but great nonetheless and it was sad when she took the cure for Magneto. Even though she lost her powers she still had them fooled as to who she really was. Pyro - Good to see him move front and centre as one of Magneto's lieutenants. Terrific actions scene at the end with Magneto, but they should have nixed the love triangle and had another couple of scenes similar to what he did to one of the centres offering a cure. Juggernaut should have been used to destroy a few centres because he didn't run through enough buildings for mine. Beast - the best acting in the whole movie belonged to Kelsey Grammar and he was brilliant as Beast. Great to see him in action fighting like he did in the cartoon series and comics. Great to see his hand turn human when he was near Leech and think about taking the cure for a second before accepting what he is. Colossus - should take up Major League Baseball because all he did was throw Wolverine. Why didn't Colossus go into a coma after touching Rogue? Angel - the scene where he broke out after rejecting the cure was terrific on the big screen unlike when I downloaded. But it looked gay when he stood there with his wings spread out and he was shown flying around like a giant dove on crack. Storm - Great to see her flying around and kicking butt like the real Storm should. I liked how she took over as the leader after Cyclops bit the dust and accepted the lame Angel to keep the school going. Callisto - pretty good and she has a career as eye candy if she wants one. But what happened to Storm's line about nothing striking faster than lightning? Why didn't Magneto crush the X jet and kill the X men after she sensed it had arrived? You can drive a truck through the plot holes in these type of movies. Sad to see Xavier die the way he did but it was terrific the way the whole house lifted off the foundations. Especially good to see Magneto saddened by his death even though they're enemies because they have different beliefs. Was that a mutant we know from the first movie climbing the walls of the Church? Sabretooth should have been in the movie to fight Colossus at the end and they have to bring him back for the Wolverine prequel. I really liked the fact they all flew in as a team and it reminded me of the way they did it on the small screen. Well done! I might have to see it again.

I will probably write a full review at some point but for now all i have to say is THAT FRIKKEN ROCKED!!!!
came out of the film at 8:15 and went straight to the box office and bought tickects for the 8:30 showing....missed our last train home and had to ask my brother to drive 40 miles to come and get us...ooops ;D
For starters i went to this movie with my fiance. He is not a fan of x-men. In fact he is not a fan of comics or comic book films period. why am i telling you this?? because he LOVED the movie. As soon as the danger room sequence finished he was hooked. He was the one who suggested going to watch it again. Before last night he was one of the biggest critics of comic films. this morning he was asking if there were gonna be any more sequels or if they would do a cross over with Spiderman or Fantastic four. He even asked why nobody was producing a Thor movie!! I didnt even think he had heard of Thor.
My point is that while some established X-Fans may be disappointed with the way the movie turned out i have no doubt that it has picked up hell of a lot of fans along the way. BRING ON X4
Thank you Brett for giving me and my fiance another thing in Common ;D
P.S. I can not believe that this has not been mentioned or have i missed it along the way. ****SPOILER***** Beast actually says "Oh my stars and Garters!!" That made my day ;D
Lots of smily faces from me today ;D
EDIT: note to ahumanjuggernaut: I also liked the way Juggs was portrayed on screen. (Hes my personal mutant after all lol) Could have done with a bit more destruction from him but the scene with him and kitty ROCKED! (and by the way in the movieverse Juggs is a mutant)

had said before that I will look at this film from 2 points, a Cyclops Fan POV and an X-Men Fan POV. I already know what happened to Cyclops so I will make my review based as an X-Men/Movie fan.
Pros- -Kitty was a fun and enjoyable character. I didn't know her in the comics too well, but in the movie I think she totally stole the spotlight.I enjoyed her scenes with Juggernaut and how she handled that guy who came at her and then she grabbed like the back of the neck, she was total bad *** in that one. - Storm was not that bad in this one. If you can forget that stupid line Xavier said about "Scott not being the same man." - Danger Room and opening scene was enjoyable to watch. - magneto being cold hearted to mystique, totally in his character. and how he sort of mourned xavier's death. - i forgot to add that beast though was enjoyable
Cons- - the story was absolutly horrible. X1 was simple and clear cut. X2 was more complicated but executed perfectly. X3 followed X1, in the sense that the storyline was more simple, but execution was totally off. The "cure" storyline was good but it just felt sloppy. -The Golden GateBridge sequence was absolutly useless. Juggernaut asks "How are we supposed to go there?" Answer: It's called a stupid boat ! As I recall, X1 had LiberyIsland, I didn't see Magneto raising the GWB, or BayonneBridge, or heck even Pulaski SkyWay in Jersey City to get to the island. All it did was make for good eyecandy, but really served NO PURPOSE to the story
- Colosuss, you don't explore that character AT ALL in the film, but the only real line he has in the film and he doesn't have a "Russian Accent" though I could be wrong and say that maybe in x2 he didn't have a russian accent, but either way, he was a character in x2, who was not developed at all in this film. He was just there to recreate the scene in the comics where he throws Wolverine.
- Rouge, her character would never take the cure, despite the type of curse her powers are to her. The only way to salvage this mess is if they do an X4 and the Cure turns into more mutations for her and we see her flying and having strength
- Angel, perhaps the biggest dissappointment next to Cyclops. WOW ! He shows up in the mansion and does nothing ! I really can't believe it, don't put him on screen if he serves no purpose, why show his character in promos when he does nothing ! Does fox have a rule that any character in the comics that has a relationship with Jean (except Logan) be screwed over. Angel fans, that was worse than what Cyke fans got in X2, but at least X2 was a good movie, despite Cyclops' absence.
- Bobby and Pyro's fight was anti-climactic at best. Bobby managed to freeze up, but yeah that was for two seconds.
- seeing logan get beaten around was fun, but i had to move it into the con category (to be unbiased hehehe) because that's all he kept doing, what happened to the big hero they made him out to be in x1 and x2. he at least had cool fight scenes with sabertooth and lady deathstrike.
- xavier, could it be more obvious that he was transfering his mind to that guy. everyone heard about the credits scene and everyone walked out of that saying what complete BS.
- this just highlights the weakness in writing. how obvious was it that logan was merely the distraction for hank with magneto !? really, now there was no surprises in this film.
- and when the hell did they start classifying mutants, was it in the comics? If so I never read about it. But that’s only a minor complaint.
Now for the big one:
The absolute biggest travesty in this movie was JEAN. Fine kill of cyclops to drive her mad, but no it wasn't even like that. All of a sudden she already had a dual personality and it fell from the sky and fell on xaviers lap that it called itself Phoenix. Nevermind the fact that they could’ve used the machine in x1 to tie things nicely into x3. That part I could almost forgive, but they barely showed Jean struggling for power over the Phoenix force. Talk about a total let down in that department. This was her chance to shine, to be conflicted with what she's done and what she's doing. But all we really got was that scene with Logan. But since she wanted to die because of Cyclops, I'm all for it, in that sense I could ALMOST let them get away...
But how could you have Phoenix without the ****en PHOENIX ! The only flames that surrounded her was the left over mess from Pyro. OMG i couldn't believe it. Talk about grazing over her storyline. And one of the prolific, iconic in the entire history of marvel comics.
Now as for Cyclops, theres a whole thread with hundreds of responses to this so ill make this as short as I can. To sum it up: killed off to early, death had little impact on other characters except jean, but even that felt underplayed. Storm not saying anything about him during Xavier’s funeral was a travesty. If they had cyclops, they could totally used him to have jean conflicted and see her struggling or as the leader but poor cyke. but im kinda glad he got out early, when the movie looked like it might be good.
Overall, the movie had some highlights, but those were mostly action shots, kitty was the only new character to shine, everyone else in the movie felt like a total waste of space, or rather not developed enough that there was no point in them being there (or blame fox for trying to hype these other characters up when they really dont do anything.. ahemANGELahem). The pacing was completely off, the movie zoomed by but it did not gel right and everything felt off and sloppy is the best word that I could describe it. Maybe with more time, they could've done more, but yeah.. whatever
I started to wonder why so many reviews were good. At best this movie is average, a total popcorn flick, which wouldn’t have been so bad but X2 raised the bar and this one did fall short. But I started to think that most of these reviewers are not real comic book fans or they really didn’t know too much about the comics, I wish maybe that I went into the movie like that, ignorant bliss, I might’ve enjoyed it more.

i think your to hard on the movie...especially about jean. i mean she showed struggle against what Xavier did to her and how she was trying to control it. cyclops death was necessary for the movie. i dont see why you didnt like it.(besides the characters that had nothing to say)

Keep in mind there will be spoilers in this review, but I'm guessing you already knew that. Well, guys, before I get into what i saw last night, let me say those have all been great reviews! And also, this has been the greatest buildup because of you guys so I just want to say thank you for making it amazing. Really, i feel like part of a family here and I am so grateful for that! As I've said before, we made it, and it's a great feeling! Now, on to Oldfriend's review (keep in mind there will be some cons that I look at, but believe me, i enjoyed it overall): First of all, I must say it was awesome to see friends again that I haven't seen in years. The 9 of us ended up meeting up with several others to form quite the brotherhood of X-Men fans. It was great. They let us in the auditorium an hour early so we spent a great deal of time in the theater just hanging out...and as expected, the atmosphere in the theater was amazing during the wait for the lights to dim. Everybody was having a great time and there really wasn't a dull moment. These guys haven't changed a bit....but then, the lights dimmed and everybody got excited. Fortunately, there weren't many previews and we were quickly greeted with the Fox logo and opening scene, which I must say, was very well done. The effects used on Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen to make their characters appear younger was outstanding, and very believable. i was thrilled about this scene, and also the scene in which Angel attempted to cut off his wings to please his father, although I do wish Angel did a bit more in this film. But then again, I can say that about many characters in the film unfortunately. Brett Ratner said that he was trying to keep the tone that was set by Bryan Singer, and I must say, he didn't. This isn't necessarily an entirely bad thing, however. Anyone who has seen the Rush Hour films knows Brett Ratner's style, and it was clearly showcased in this film. Plenty of special effect (which were phenomenal), action scenes, cheap laughs and thrills really make up a great chunk of what Brett likes to incorporate in his films. As much as this bothered me in certain scenes, it really does make this a FUN film. I think what bothered me about it is that it is part of a trilogy, yet it has such a different FEEL to it than the other two films, but I need to stop looking at it that way. A different director was involved, so obviously it'll have a different feel, but overall it is a great film. As expected, the film moved...and boy did it move quickly! Many people complain about character development, but that didn't really bother me a whole lot. The main characters such as Storm, Wolverine and Magneto already had their development in the previous films, so this was basically just the closing chapter for them. The lack of character development really only hurt the film when you look at the new characters. Characters such as Angel, Callisto, Juggernaut, Multiple Man....the list goes on...most of these characters had very little to no build-up at all. For instance, Magneto busts out Multiple Man, and immediately MM agrees to join him before he ever knows what he is joining. I guess in a movie such as this, though, things like this shouldn't bother me. I will watch it again soon and take another look at the overall situation. Simply put: Jean was amazing. The black eyes and veins were a bit of a change from what we all probably expected, but all I can say is WOW, it sure made her creepy. I must admit, her character made for what ended up being one of the creepiest comic book films I have ever seen, but I loved it! The scene towards the middle of the movie which takes place in her old house involving Professor X and Magneto has to be one of my favorite scenes in ALL the films. As I have been expecting for quite some time, you could see the look of remorse on Magneto's face when Xavier was killed. he never wanted Xavier to die. He simply wanted Jean to join him as his ultimate weapon...but I could tell...deep down inside....he didn't want to see his old friend die. If we go back a bit to the Cyclops scene, I know many people have a problem with what happened, but I feel that it serves some purposes overall. Granted, it obviously does nothing for Cyclops' character, but let's face it: even in the Singer films, his character always got the shaft. I wish this wasn't so, but unfortunately that has how it worked out in this trilogy. I feel it DID add some emotional depth to the film, however, because Scott loved Jean and for her to be the one to kill him...well it just hit me when it happened. Also, as much as it does nothing for Scott's character, it does a LOT for Jean's character. it is a way of showcasing exactly what she is capable of...which is quite a bit. The finale of course, was intense. Probably the most action packed scene in any X-Men film, as there was a ton going on. The Juggernaut/kitty scene was ok, but something ruined it for me. I didn't mind the Juggernaut comment about Kitty as Ratner was obviously acknowledging a certain video involving Juggernaut that made it's way on the internet a while back....but the word Kitty used to insult Juggernaut after she rescues Leech is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY...and while most of the audience got a cheap chuckle out of it, I was simply left shaking my head....I mean...the Wolverine "your a d..." comment in X1 served more of a purpose and fit his character...but Kitty's comment was just there for a cheap immature laugh...in my opinion anyway....but back to the overall finale. Jean was at her best in this scene, and yes, the scene with Wolverine was very emotional as I would expect. One of those teary-eyed moments...well done. I must say, I wish they left the part in where Magneto attempts to extract Wolverines metal skeleton, but oh well. The irony was there....Magneto spent so long fighting against the humans...he even abandoned Mystique over it....only to become one himself....awesome! I must be honest, Rogue didn't do enough in this film and I don't think Ratner allowed her to show the emotion that I know she could've it. It is a shame, because her storyline has the potential to be SOOOOO emotional...but what can you do? She did what she wanted and it served the overall purpose of the story so i can't complain too much...HOWEVER, I have to ask about the Magneto scene at the end...does this mean the cure is temporary...and if so...doesn't this make Rogue's dilema/outcome in the film a bit pointless....but whatever.... And it goes without saying....the final scene after the credits...was quite frankly....worth the price of admission itself....*CLAPS* So, what is the final verdict? I thought the film was quite different than its predecessors, but it was a great film for what it was. I must say, I left the film happier than some people who attended with me...and that's ok....this is one of those films where opinions will vary and perhaps change with several viewings...The film certainly wasn't flawless but I will see it again soon and I must say: I'm looking forward to it! Once again, it has been a pleasure enjoying the hype for this film with all of you....I really mean it. If we're lucky, maybe there will be another X-Men film for us to be excited about.....but for now, let's continue to enjoy X3! -Oldfriend.

Oh My Gosh! Its My Review! SPOILERS
Straight to the point: about 7 or 8 out of 10
Well, i went into the cinemas with 5 friends, still not quite believing it was here, but anyway it came on. We had a laugh during the adverts and then it came on. I relly liked young jean, she made me smile. And the SCARY lookalike mother was funny. I loved the whole car/lawnmower/hose rising thing. I really think Ian and Patrick are amazing actors and the CG was good. There was just one thing. "Oh, ive seen this".
Then there was angel. It was ok. "Oh, ive seen this" Quite dramatic.
Then there was the danger room. It was almost a blink and youll miss it scene. I was like what? As soon as it started, wolverine was flying through the air and then it was over. Logan was annoying in this scene. However this scene made me realise we had one stable character: Storm. Its so great to see her with great powers and her own opinion. Once again. "Oh ive seen this".
I really like the "We dont all heal as fast as you" bit. "Oh ive seen this".
Then there was a nice little scene where X told Storm he wanted her to continue the scene. First new thing.
Now, because of this movies fast-paced rushness, this is where things get a little blurred. It does get a lot better. The second half of the film more than makes up for the patchy start half. One thing is annoying where Professor X is blaming Logan for Jean coming back and hes like "What have you done? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" I was like "He hasnt done anything"
There are several more "Oh ive already seen this" momets. But lots of new stuff. I felt very depressed with all the deaths and cures. But of course none of them are really dead are they? Well Jean can come back again, Prof X is alive after credits, and someone said something about Mr Sinister reviving Scott if there was another which would be cool. I felt really bad for Mystique, especailly cos she saved him. Im so glad she got her revenge.
My personal highlights are: Jeans house fight - It was so cool. Expected more from Storm/ Calissto fight but it was ok. Phoenix blew me away.
Kitty/Juggernaut - I could NOT BELIEVE she called him a D***Head. LOL good on her, Alsi im glad the writers have a sense of humour. "Im the Juggernaut bIT**"
Final Battle - It was very long and exciting. Beast was the best fighter in the movie and the whole Logan Jean fight thing was so cool. Storm was so cool. So many deaths by Phoenix and i liked the whole "POOF your dead" thing. This proves that Storm would not have stood a chance.
Anyway, heres what i think about the characters.
Logan - Annoying near the start but gets more bearable as he goes along. Storm - AMAZING in this film. She is so strong-willed and is an amazin leader. Rogue - I nearly forgot Rogue was in this film. She was ok. Iceman - Great icing up. Iceman vs Pyro was not really a fight. Beast - One of the highlights of the whole film. Amazing fighting and comedy. Kitty - Amazingly loveable and clever. Love her in the lesson at the beginning. Mystique - LOL X - annoying whilst blaming Logan and looks bad for the mind blocks. Very sad death but is not dead. Scott - Who? Magneto - Simply amazing. Pyro - OK Callisto - LOL i liked her, she was funny. Juggernaut - Quite funny but not really necessary. Angel - OMG completely pointless. Who CARES?
And noone else is important enough for me to remember. Overall it was an excellent film that is fast-paced, which is also a very good thing. You dont need an epic to make a movie. A bit more character development would have been nice, but we have the first 2 for that. But the ending. OMG the ending. I LOVED the Magneto ending. So many questions from a few seconds of footage, I could hear "Did it move?" around the cinema. I was so releived the cure wears off because i got upset because it felt like we had lost Rogue, Scott, Jean, Proffesor X, Mystique, Magneto not to mention all minor deaths like Arclight and Quills.
Over all - One of the best films i a while. Exiting instead of character development. Definitly leves it gagging for an X4. I think that its 99% impossible for them not to continue. To see that X is alive and they get their powers back.
8/10

great review Shadow but I must ask: Don't you think the cure being temporary kind of makes Rogue's storyline a bit pointless?
