There are many X-Men fans who live in the world where Gambit and Rogue are originally from--the American Gulf South. Since the hurricanes have struck there has been devastation that until now could only be in the imagination of the X-Men writers. Many people have lost everything and are trying to rebuild their homes and their lives. (On a personal note, I work for the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in Baton Rouge and I have been assigned to monitor the demolition of homes in the New Orleans area for the summer of 2006. It is one of the worst jobs I have ever had.) Based on the success of the current X-Men film, would it not be a kindness to give the fans of the New Orleans area--where Gambit is from-- and the fans of Mississippi--where Rogue is from--an X-Men film that would show their hero and heroine in action, just to get their minds off their troubles, the way a good movie can? It would even be worth considering to allow some of the profit of the film go to charities assisting with hurricane relief. Like the bad guys in each movie, hurricane season is back. We here in the bayou are praying we can be spared just long enough to repair the levees and the coast until we can think of something better.

That would be a great gesture if they actually did so. And welcome to the forum GSxmenfan
