"Could you tell us how many time passes from the end of X-Men2 to the beggining of X-men3, or that goes under spoilers?
I think this is probably a spoiler, so I can't get into specifics. But it’s not a lot of time. The emotional fallout from Jean’s death is still very fresh and raw for the X-Men.

Whose to say its even Jean's Funeral? How do you know that it isnt another beloved xmen. ( ill not say much more about that because this is the no spoiler thread ) People just assume its Jeans. Also, This is suppose to take place 2 months or so after alkalai lake. The video Game X3 is supposed to bridge the gap between the two movies and also explain why Nightcrawler isnt in X3 according to the reviews.
As far as Jeans hair becomming longer, it is also a different color. It's a fictional story, they can change Jeans hair if they want, after all they changed storms hair from the original to X2, it looks completely different.
And whose to say that this isn't a replica of Jean, they could go back to the comic book story line and this is the Entity with the Clone, not actually Jean Grey herself.

Simon Kinberg writer of x3 said it's probably about eight or nine months after x2. I think thats enough time.
