I think the new suit looks a bit too busy, I prefer the suit from the first film. lol.

Batsuit aside, I honestly don't like the Joker's look in this film. The makeup around the lower lip looks like extra skin around it.

I trust Nolan and I'm sure everything will look much better in motion. I just hope this one is as good as the last one. I would love a trilogy where each film was amazing, much like LOTR (even that that is a singular story, it was still released in 3 parts...lol).

I have faith in Nolan as well, and I'm loving the direction he is going with this! I wish it wasn't a year away, but the batman sites are constantly updating every day already so I know this is going to be a fun year-long countdown!

Indeed, I'm sure it will be an amazing film and hopefully the suit will look better in motion and hopefully Nolan will keep it in the dark most of the time.

I really can't wait for this. My most anticipated movie of 2008 by far! Of course, I'm biased because Batman is my #1 comic hero. Ok...I'm too excited to hold in in so I need to share again. Batman Begins was just what we needed after the dreadful Batman and Robin seemingly ended the franchise in miserable fashion. I know I've said this a million times already, but a fresh start was exactly what this franchise needed, and what a way to start off a new series. Batman Begins was an amazing movie...and while I still think the Burton movies were the best visually (because I love Burton's style), Batman Begins was the best story-wise, as it stuck to the comics the most, and also had the most development. It focused more on the characters as opposed to the action(Burton) and goofy antics(Schumacher), and I think that made it a much more realistic take on Batman. So, that being said, bring on #2 please....! July 18th could not come soon enough! Also...I have listed the websites that make up what appears to be a viral marketing campaign similar to the 1-18-08 one, except this one seems to give itself away much more: www.thegothamtimes.com/www.wearetheanswer.org/www.thehahahatimes.com/www.rememberinggina.org/www.gothamnationalbank.com/www.gothamusd.net/www.gvafoundation.org/www.gothamcab.com/www.bettyshouseofpies.com/www.saintswithunschurch.org/www.gpdiad.com/www.gothampolice.com/www.acmesecuritysystems.com/www.whysoserious.com/mausoleum/www.whysoserious.com/theperfectgetaway/www.rent-a-clown.com/www.rorysdeathkiss.com/ibelieveinharveydent.warnerbros.com/www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com/ (highlight to read) Anyway, here's a new pic courtesy of Warner Bros and SHH. Yep, Joker is gonna rock. I think we'll be seeing an extremely sick and twisted villain in this movie. and i found this on wikipedia:

YES! Thank you for posting that! I can't wait for this movie! I love Batman! Christian Bale and Heath Ledger = Joker looks amazing! Kinda...creepy (really, really creepy), but he is what he is. Lol. And I do miss Robin...I actually liked him a lot. Haha.

I am shocked by the news of the death of Heath Ledger....too young.
He was found dead in his apartment today....probably drug related.
I will continue to use this avatar in your honor, RIP.

I know. It's sad that a young life was taken away in Heath. They're saying now that his death was probably an accidental dose of sleeping pills. My condolences go out to his family. R.I.P. Heath.

28 years old is just to darn young...this type of thing brings to mind Brandon Lee...they were both 28 at the time of death, and they both died before the releases of movies that will probably end up being both of their defining roles....this is definitely a sad day for Hollywood, it lost one of its brightest new stars. He will be remembered though, and his portrayal of The Joker will go down as a classic I'm sure. RIP Heath Ledger 1979-2008.

alrighty I do love the batman movies. I can't wait until Dark Knight! I've been wanting to see it since they said they were bringing the joker back! And then they put heath in there and at first I was like...really? heath ledger? but from that teaser trailer where you don't see anything you just hear him....I thought yes he is going to rock that part ...Then I saw the posters which I really want one the one with why so serious. THEN I saw the trailer!!! OMG he is awesome as the joker really creepy...But as we all know it will be very bittersweet to see the movie. :'(It's gonna be a wonderful movie but then again...we all know that it will be sad and eerie at the same time. I'm gonna miss seeing him on the big screen But Batman Dark Knight as planned when I first "heard" the first trailor...I will be first in line!

the batman films are awesome, with Batman and Robin aside..or Batman Forever. Christopher Nolan will always be a direct you can trust with any film and Batman Begins was a beautiful refresh of the series and totalyl revamped it. And this new film looks beyond Oscar status, at first i was worried the Joker would be butchered but after seeing photos and the trailer i have huge hopes for this movie and i know i won't be disappointed
