Sad news from the Batman world. Pat Hingle, the man who played Commissioner Gordon in the Burton/Schumacher series of Batman films, has died at the age of 84. www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/01/05/pat-hingle-batmans-commis_n_155193.htmlYou were the Gordon of my childhood, and a fine actor indeed. RIP On a happier note, Gary Oldman (who ironically enough plays Gordon in the Nolan series) has just gotten married, so congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Oldman!

Hard to believe that today's one year that Heath Ledger died. Seems like it was yesterday. Truly a sad day. RIP Heath.

All I can say is this: Christopher Nolan has improved over the years with the films he's made. The Dark Knight Rises, to me, doesn't feel like a movie at all. It's more like an event. Initially, I didn't like the idea that Anne Hathaway was cast as Catwoman but it's grown on me a little. Tom Hardy as Bane is unbelievable, showing that he can be menacing. I think we'll be on the edge of our seats the minute The Dark Knight Rises begins.
