ARAD: You heard what was said in the classroom right? How things were explained to the students, what’s possible. When you look at the way these people materialize when the Phoenix erupts, just reverse it and who knows? HE'S ALIVE,CYCLOPS LIVES!!!!! DOWNHERE LOOK!!! I'm sorry, but I don't listen to Mr. Arad...most of the stuff that comes out of his mouth are lies half the time he has no idea what he is talking about. He's just a businessman and that's pretty much it.

Here it is peeps.....the low down on X3. Like or lump it, hate me or like me....this is it. I always give my opinion with no sugar coating....so here it is:
THE STORY: The story itself was pretty good. Surrounds a cure which I did not see coming from X1 and X2. How they went about it was what I did not like.
PROF X: Wicked as usual. The scene with him and Magneto 20 years younger was awesome. As to why he had to die...no idea. Last scene after credits....HELLO....can you say X4 ?? Ratner failed with Prof X but saved it at the end.
CYCLOPS: I made my peace with what they did with the character before even going. As little as he was in the movie I thought he was going to be in AT LEAST more then that. We do not see him die so this gives me hope for X4. Yeah yeah....it is implied by Jean and Xavier but this is comic book world...anything goes. Ratner failed again but might have some salvation for the future.
STORM: Original opinion was she was going to hog the movie. I was wrong. Her character evolved as should have everyone else's. What they did with her and the time they spent with her character should have been done with the entire X-Men.
WOLVERINE: They replaced Scott's role as leader and love role with Jean with him cause he is more popular. That is the bottom line. Who cares that he is going to get his own movie. Ratner screwed this over. The fight scenes was cool....the character was cool...but his role as X-men leader sucked ***. Ratner should marry Wolverine and have a threesome with Storm he loves them so much....lol !!
BEAST: Beginning to end....AWESOME. Perfect guy to play him.
SHADOWCAT: Hotness. Had a bigger role then what I thought she was going to have so I was pleased. I hoped her and Bobby were going to get together. Speaking of Bobby.......
ICEMAN: Very cool....pardon the pun. I didn't like the fact that he always seemed hesitant to get into a fight. The final fight with Pyro was about 5 mins too short and besides for that 10 second battle, he did nothing in the final fight. Here's hoping in X4 he gets with Shadowcat and the rift with Prof X starts.
ROGUE: Lets be honest, unless they go the Ms. Marvel route she is a useless character. If the cure doesn't work then here's hoping in X4 they introduce Gambit and there love can blossom furthering the story.
COLOSSUS: Was he even in the movie ? Could have been awesome but WAYYYY under utilized. No fight with Juggernaut..? I felt robbed. Ratner failed.
ANGEL: He was in the movie because of his Dad. That's it....period. I mean why bother introducing a character who gets so little screen time ? Maybe 20 lines. Ratner failed again.
BROTHERHOOD: Magneto: Always cool. Wicked ending. Pyro, Multiple Man, Psycloke, Spike; all good as well. Phoenix: Very sexy. Would have liked to seen to the flames but settled for her raging out....lol. All good and no complaints. Mystique: So damn hot but was disappointed. I thought she was going to be in it more.
IN-CONSISTENCIES: -Juggernaut's not a mutant. But instead of going the crystal in helmet and Xavier's step brother route, they choose a path and stuck to it. Ok.
-Phoenix is not another one of Jean's personalities. But instead of explaining the entity they choose a path and stuck with it. Ok.
-What of Nightcrawler ?
-Trask not a secretary in the US Gov't.
-What happened to Pyro at the end ?
-These are just to name a few
BOTTOMLINE: I would have and I'm sure millions others would have done things differently. Wolverine as leader did not fly. Too many in-consistencies for my liking. The scenes seemed rushed as they should have spent more time on them. Each character should have had more evolving. If they wanted to do this story then this movie should have been X4 and there should have been another in between.
All in all the X-Men Trilogy finishes with a bang but is it good or bad ?? Everyone's opinion differs. Personally I think Ratner should stick to making movies about Black and Chinese guys as cops. But he did do good by leaving it wide open for more movies.
OH PLEASE GOD IN HEAVEN....RIGHT THESE WRONGS AND GRANT US MORE MOVIES AND A DIRECTOR WITH THE WISDOM TO MAKE THEM THE RIGHT WAY.

i definately agree i think Brett did do a well job but at the same time i think he is way to used to making comedies that are short becuz how many comedies are there that are like 2 and a half to 3 hours long? he did good but he should definately stick to the comedies. and also now that i think about it, we shouldn really blame him as much as we have i mean sure he does deserve some of it but at the same time we have to remember that he never wrote the story line behind the movie he just directed it. I think if there were better writers for the film it would have been much better than it was, they made a movie that was just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too short for my liking and im sure the liking of many other huge X-Men fans.

NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
When I watched X-3, I first of all considered all of the critics a bad joke. I have heard either constantly good, or constantly bad things about it, but X-3 was none of these. At the beginning, I considered it an average movie and probably not worth the money. However, looks can be deceiving.
Positive things: Let me first of all tell you that you will probably like X-3 the more with every time you watch it. The more I think about it, the more it fascinates me. The tone of the first two movies has been kept to quite good and doesn’t make you feel like sitting in the wrong room. Secondly, the action sequences were really good, through I must confirm that I have seen MUCH more explosions in similar movies. Still, especially the fighting sequences are extremely good. Watch out for the little hints and remarks (it may be something the character says, does, or just something he wears, in the case of Callisto for example. Thirdly, emotions are definitely strong in this movie. The burial scene made me want to cry, same as some of the scenes with Leech and Beast, while other ones just make you laugh. Lastly, the ending was extremely funny, though a little bit over packed. X-3 is and remains a Hollywood production, so some parts of the ending come across as a little cliché. Still, the scene after the credits makes up for it. There are several of them, as far as I know, and one of them explains why Charles Xavier is definitely NOT dead. Once again, the solution is extremely surprising and clings to a little detail mentioned once in the movie. SO watch out carefully.
Negative Things: First of all, the less you know about the movie in advance, the more exciting it is. I found that some really great scenes got swallowed by my knowledge about how they are going to end like. Secondly, if you have read the comics (which I luckily did not), you will probably be disappointed by how they kill off some characters or the characters only have little interaction at all. Do not blame Ratner only, though, because the decisions also depend a lot on the story writers. Thirdly, Phoenix’ make-up was HORRIBLE! She looked like a freaky monster, rather than like a Pheonix. Whoever her make-up artist was, he deserves a hit to his head. Lastly, I found the whole love triangle Kitty-Bobby-Marie quite undeveloped. The movie was half an hour too short.
Characters: THE X-MEN Charles: His part hasn’t really changed a bit, though in this movie you finally get to see how far he would go to protect his students, which he considers a kind of family. Watch out for the talk between him and Ian at the beginning (Magneto: “I hope we don’t have to pick up all of them personally”) and how Kitty and Bobby later on explain to each other that he really came to every single student. Wolverine: He also keeps being the same he has always been. Inside soft, outside… like the metal on his bones. Considered that he had had such a lot of screen time in the first two movies, you can only consider it a shame he is getting half of the attention AGAIN. Storm: She finally comes across as the real Storm. With an own opinion, all her powers and the connection you finally see between her mood and her powers, she at least gets the attention she needs. Jean: As mentioned before, her Phoenix make-up is horrible. Famke has done a really good job and whoever played little Jean has done a good job, too. Jean is one of the most emotional characters in that movie and apart from the make-up you just have to love her. Cyclops: Now, he is killed off quite quickly in the movie (though you do not see how he dies). For comic fans, this may be a tragedy. Those who watched the movies only it will probably not be such a big deal. Rogue: Now some people may grief about her fate. If you feel with her, be happy for the choice she makes. Rogue, however, does not get much screen time. Bobby: Now he gets to fight his old rival Pyro. And he gets to date a girl he can actually touch. Still, he seems to stay with Rogue in the end. Kitty: Basically, her role consists of being cute and phasing through walls. The fighting scene with Juggernaut is extremely funny. Colossus: Neither character development, nor a lot of screen time. What else do I have to say? Beast: Now this is the one I have been looking forward time. Kelsey Grammer is awesome in this role and Beast’s character is developed very well. The best thing about the character probably is that you can easily make out all the emotions inside him, by looking into his eyes. They show both the vulnerable side of Beast (like when he thinks about being cured himself, because he does not approve of his looks at all) and the intelligent protector (like when he is told about the Cure).
THE BAD GUYS Magneto: He is one of the major villains, not because he wants to destroy humanity, but because of the sacrifices he makes. Imagine leaving your closest friend naked and horrified in some mobile prison unit only because he saved your life and got changed to the extreme by that. Now that’s what I would call evil and Magneto actually does so. Though he basically keeps being a jerk through the whole movie (but played fantastically by Ian McKellen), he at least feels some sense of remorse at the very end. You will see. Mystique: God it is so sad!!!!!!!!! At the beginning, she kicks butt. The “You don’t wanna play games with me?” Scene is even funnier if you know the circumstances under which it takes place. Sadly enough, after her two fighting scenes and a little talk with Magneto, she gets cured and is then abandoned by him. The only apology for that is that she pays him back in a very devilish way. Pyro: Now he still comes across as the forever-student type. Though he has now clearly decided for following Magneto, he still does not understand all of Magneto’s plans, as Pyro’s thinking comes across as kind of one-sided, like the world was too complex for him. Callisto: She definitely gets the attentions she needs in the movie. There isn’t much to say about her, nevertheless. Just watch out for the details. Juggernaut: He is kind of a fun and action element. Sometimes, he makes you laugh, sometimes you just go WOW!. He is well casted and one of the best villains of the movie.
IN BETWEEN Angel: now he is one of the two mutants, who neither belong to the X-Men, nor to the villains. Sadly, he doesn’t get enough screen time in the movie. Leech: Now, I was extremely surprised by Leech. Cameron plays him in an extraordinary good way and really manages to show the emotional side of the character. Though the Cure is the actual enemy, Leech is not a villain. He is a kid who is being forced to live isolated from the rest of the world and who feels sorry for all the mess the Cure causes, though it’s not his decision at all. Sympathy factor: 10 out of 10. Random appearances: Quill, Psylocke, Multiple Man and several others. Most of them get cured.
CONCLUSION: All in all, you will find that X-Men The Last Stand will probably disappoint you on first sight, but if you think about it for a minute, you will notice that there are a lot of positive things and a lot of truth in the movie. Give X-3 a try. It might just surprise you.

Since my first experience with X-MEN 3 was so positive, I guess I don't have to worry about it finally impressing me upon a second viewing.

with the introduction to angel in the very begining of the movie, i though he would play a much bigger role over all. and i though the cure was going to also play a bigger role. like get the cure close enough to jean so that her powers are ineffective. and from the comic i though it was rouge that stopped Phoenix, thats how rouge got the ability to fly. but again rouge played a very minute role, same with cyclops. what happend to nitecrawler, and why did they never bring sabertooth back?? seing one last wolverine sabertooth battle would have been insane. doesnt the first movie and this movie contradict with each other. with magnetos mutation machine and a cure. if he can find a way to reproduce and power the machine once again he can get his powers back. like i said too many questions arrose. and How can you kill off the biggest character of the series. they are Xaviers-men. with no xavier they are just mutant men. blah. sorry this turned out to be a little rant.

i goliath Rogue got her ability to fly from a woman named Ms. Marvel thats where she got her superstrength and her ability 2 fly i think if Rpgue took the Dark Phoenix's powers it wouldn help becuz Rogue takes part of the ppls personality that she touches so her touching Dark Phoenix would make her evil too

X-Men 3 was a great film, I will admit that, but I do have this to say as well: This film is slicker with more splashy effects, but you miss the brooding quality of the last two. But, it's still brilliant and extremely entertaining! ;D
