I'm hardly suprised X-men 3 has had this much sucsess in my opionion Bryan Singer could have done a better job with X1. X2 was quite well done but X-men 3 was just brillent they brought in more charecters and stories rather than just Wolverine, Jean, Cyclops, Storm, Professor X, Rogue and Mystiqie. But this involved Juggernaut, Callisto, Moria Mactergget, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, Pyro and loads more. This is a movie X-man fans have waited for since they were like 10 years old. I'm not suprised this film had that much sucsess! ;D

i think the success of this movie is highly debatable: i wouldn't consider this movie to be a huge success, if a success at all.. even though i still loved the movie whoever it was that said "bah humbug" about SR reaching 200 million... ditto. AHHHH i think x3 is going to BARELY miss the 460 mark. and i remember back when the first weekend was being discuss, and some places had it at 107 instead of 102, back then 5 million seemed like nothing. but now, 5 million is like A TON!!!

X3 is a huge success in the eyes of Fox. It is the number 3 film of the year and made more money then it's second sequel, which only a few trilogies have been able to do. Either way you look at it, X3 was and is profitable for Fox.

Yesh it was successful cos of its predecessors and the fact that the previous 2 films were set in a pace by Singer who have brought lots of justice to the characters int eh prev 2 movies... but credibility of X3 wise, is so-so only...

Either way you look at it, X3 was and is profitable for Fox. I really would like to believe that that's true, but i don't know. it did have higher box office numbers- that much is true. (i'm not sure if X3 actually beat X2's adjusted gross though). But it had a lower profit than X2 (and even X1 i think). And i think Fox did make some quick cash, but i think in the long run for the x-men series it was kind of a step back, since the x-men series had been known for having two highly reviewed movies, and then X3 brought in some uh... not so high reviews. EVEN THO I STILL LOVE IT (and u may just want to edit on ur comment where u said it made mroe money than its second sequel..cuz x3 IS the second sequel.) ;D

DH!!!!!!!!! sheesh long time no talk bud.....
if you're talking in terms of success of the trilogy..it has been a huge success and Fox knows it and im sure everyone is proud of the movies...but if they want it to continue..i think another spin-off would be a wise decision.

Overall, the X-MEN trilogy has been a HUGE success, with Singer's 1st 2 films and Ratner's 3rd film combined. I am sure as a franchise/box-set DVD whatsoever, i am sure they will sell out very well, juz like the very first Star Wars trilogy of IV, V & VI - A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back & The Return Of The Jedi. However if u would categorise each individual movie by itself. The order of merit would be X2 first, followed by X3, then X2, and then X1. With Star Wars trilogy of ESB, ROJ & ANH, in that order. Oh well, it is juz my 2 cents worth.

Yes, fox has realy made a lot of money off of the X-men films, but stil hasnt given fans what we want to see, I know that it would be quite awhile before they ever get a budget like star wars, but it should come close all three movies in this trilogy were success, And the budget rumored for X3 was in the range of the last King Kong Flick which was visually impressive, X3 was ok but The effects in King Kong were much better. I think the cast is to large...

That's why i think it is not a good idea to bring in to many cast members... To being in beast is fine, but Angel's role was so small, i felt he shd be left out... Colossus & Kitty's roles are mediocre too... anyway... i hope in X4, they will bring in a new villain instead, i am tired of Magneto... he is sooo passe...
