There's nothing wrong with Magneto - i have respect for this character as he is not the villain i thought to be - perhaps in a trilogy it is best we shd see more nemesis besides Magneto and the brotherhood all the time.... wouldnt it be great if future X-movies features more villians like Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, etc...?

Yes, fox has realy made a lot of money off of the X-men films, but stil hasnt given fans what we want to see, I know that it would be quite awhile before they ever get a budget like star wars, but it should come close all three movies in this trilogy were success, And the budget rumored for X3 was in the range of the last King Kong Flick which was visually impressive, X3 was ok but The effects in King Kong were much better. I think the cast is to large... X3 had a bigger than star wars. i'm pretty sure.

Yeah, X3 had a bigger budget than Starwars but considering Lucas owns ILM, I'm sure he got a discount because of that. If it were any other director, Starwars would have cost way more than it did.

Wow then he got a major discount, while X-men gets ripped off (now I hate star wars)

Well, Lucas owns ILM...what do you expect. lol. X-Men did not get ripped off. Fox rushed it and it cost more money to do things in a short time span. Fox is to blame. Fox should have started production way earlier than it did.

Yeah, i agree, it is not only Phoenix's short moment and few lines, even Angel, Rogue and Kitty's screentime is halved alot... it seems to me that their appearances are only cameos, and not part of the main cast, which sux.

i think it is originally fox's, fault, but it kinda had a domino effect. After all, if fox hadn't screwed things up and started when it was supposed to, Ratner wouldn't have even been there to screw/not screw it up!!!

Yes it is after all a domino effect, FOX was in such a hurry to produce X3 in May 2005, where they shd have waited at least a year later to make sure it is a blockbuster hit... it is afterall the final chapter of a trilogy so they shd have handled with care, and waited for Singer to finish his project with Superman Returns and then direct X3 instead, whikch i believe the whole outcome would have been much different if Singer would've directed instead.
But nooo, FOX didnt want to wait for Singer, and they decide to get Matthew Vaughn to direct in order to meet the May 2005 deadline, which he felt it was impossible to achieve, then they decide to get a director with no sense of storyline and character development, but only action action action (think Red Dragon and Rush Hour movies) how could anyone take that seriously? It doesn tmake Ratner anymore serious director than Singer, cos Ratner's X3 can never match up to Singer's midas touch on the 1st 2 films fer sure! Period!

i was hoping x3 would stay in the top 5 for worldwide grosses of 2006, and i thought eragon was the biggest threat...but it turns out that Casino Royale is tracking to go over 500 million, kicking x3 out of it's spot and giving it to cars. RAR! they better make x4!!!

Well, Casino Royale was one of the best movies of the year and at least it's a worthy film to move X3 off the top 5.
Does anyone think that we need an X4 like as soon as possible? lol.
