At my theatre, it was really really crowded! They screwed with the timing of my ticket, which I bought two weeks early. They said 10:45, but then it miraculously changed to 10:20! My friends had already bought tickets for a 10:40 showing. So at 9:30 I went to the theatre to change theirs into 10:20, but couldn't cuz it was full. So I changed mine to the 10:40 showing. And even better, we got bored walking around a mall where no stores were open, so we went back to the theater at 9:50 and there was already a small line for seats for the 10:40 show. There was an overflow for the 10:20 one, so those people got the first seats in the 10:40 one...which P'd me off cuz then I people took the seats I wanted! hehe.
And my last point to show how successful X3 was in my area, was that at 5 o'clock all the movie showings until 9:something were sold out! Thank god for movietickets.com.
Wow it was a zoo.

Wow, I can't believe movies still sell out. Here in West Palm Beach, Fl, I have yet to be at a sold out movie since 1996 Independence Day.
Well, X3 was not packed nor sold out in my area. But then again, we have like 15 major theaters all within about 20 to 40 miles apart, and that helps to distribute crowds.
Also, I am wondering, since the price of a movie ticket has gone up, and the cost of making a fim has gone up, wouldn't that mean X3 has to be making alot more than we think it should? Just a question, cause they still say that Gone With The Wind is the most sucessful movie ever made.
But that aside, I think they would have made an x4 reguardless. How many sequels do you see being made despite the fact that the original bombed at the box office?
Well, here's a raised marguerita to high BO numbers!

Good news to note, in my area, we have like 4 mega theaters. 3 Muvico Places with 20 theaters each, and Regal with 18 theaters each. All theaters have showings of X-Men every 25 minutes, and from Thursday to Saturday nights, they are opened all night. Also, the big screens in these theaters can hold up to 870 people. The smaller ones at 420 seats. I dont have any crowds in my neck of the woods, but then again, with that many seats available, there is no need.
Maybe you small town folks should write to a mega theater and ask them to open one in your area. The Muvico is the best! They have one theater that can hold over a thousand people.

I used to like going to the Muvico in the Pembroke Pines area down south when I used to live there. Now I'm in Central Florida and they just opened a huge Cobb theater with stadium seating and all and that is where I do all my movie watching now. The big stadium theaters are always the best. lol.

They have some great theaters in the Orlando area too...especially by the theme parks. For me I just want comfortable seating which I love the new theater here for because the chairs rock and stuff and I love a good picture and sound. That's all I ask for my money. lol.

Well. mine was like half full, both times, but there were loads of screenings all day, in the largest screens. I suppose it isnt really a big town, but it isnt small either.

I went to see a matinee in Durham, NC on Friday, and I'd have to say that for a matinee there were quite a few people. So I think it's going to do really good here as well.... But what am I saying? It's X-Men. X-Men ALWAYS kicks @$$, no matter what the story is.

i like Ratner, Singer made some boring,X1 i didnt like at aLL(sad to admit),x2 was great but had some of the MOST boring sces, you see the scene once, you've seen it a thousand times,X3 i can watch over and over and over, i love every bit of it,especially when Storm stepped up and spoke to angel, saying the school isnt going to close. i never thought of the school closing while reading spilers,Ratner did us good, especially the final fight wwith Callisto and Storm, everyone in the theater was laughing when we saw her lipring glow I totally agree I cannot watch X1 or X2 from ebgining to end without skipping some of the scenes, which were dragged out at times. Particularly X2 with that horrible villain choice and his annoying son who masquraded as a duaghter in Prof X's mind. And though there are some complaints in The Last Stand I lvoed it and it's fast pace let's me keep watchign it, I've already seen it three times.
