Actually it's the highest October release, not 4th quarter in general. The article states that combined X3 and The Little Mermaid marked the biggest day in a 4th quarter.  But X3 did great nonetheless. |

Uhh, I don't think that is necessary as we have a thread devoted to the dvd which can have discussions about the sales and even in here since we all talk about everything and anything in this thread. lol.  |

good idea...now i heard X3 did 11 million in Japan and going on 13 million..(i don't know what happened to 12)

what? i hope japan and china aren't getting the dvd anytime soon cuz i think xmen still has a fair amount more money to make there!!

Yeah they are,but Japan always get's movies closest to their thearetical release if not at the same time,so it's normal thare

We don't know who posted it but does it really matter.It was intended as a joke based on rmors but as it turns out,it's true.
Doesn't matter if they're still int he box office,movies and DVD's come out usually the same time there,that's how things go in that country,some just have it go straight to DVD.

Yeah, Japan will get everything before we do...they have like cell phones with like toilets in them..but that's beside the point....::cough cough:: shouldn't we update the totals? Japan already gave like 13 million...

Teary eyed "I hear X4 bells ringing!" By they Way Lauren Shuler Donner hasn't ruled it out and Avi belives that with the world situartion it would be necessey to do another one this is from X3 commentary.

Donner and Arad aren't the ones to say if there is an X4. The ones with the say are Fox, at least until their contract to the X-Men franchise runs out.

Well, I'll tell you, X3 just sold 5 million dvd's in a week. X2 sold a total of 6 million to date. Considering X3 is going to past X2's total dvd wise, I think Fox is probably thinking about an X4 right about now but quietly. It looks like X3 could sell 8+ million by the beginning of next year. That could mean over 100 million in profit for N.A. alone. Hmm...makes one wonder.

Hmm...makes one wonder. i think it may have been said before, but where did u find that x2 sold 6 million dvds? and i keep seeing people say that x3 selling 5 million dvd's in a week is so great and everything... but i mean a rerelease of an old disney movies sold 4 million in a week, so 5 for X3 seems kinda bad to me... and i read that spiderman sold 7 million...in one day. |
