Okay guys! I just read the Cyclops will officially die in X3 = ( & that made me mad! And the possible Mystique & Rogue getting the cure in X3!!!! So we all know that Ratner is directing X3, but who do you guys wish would be the director of X3???
Bryan Singer - Original X-Director, also wanted to make X4!
Matthew Vaughn - 2nd director of X3, left in middle of it!
Brett Ratner - Final director of X3
Sam Raimi - Director of Spider-Man movies!
Mark Johnson - Director of 3 Marvel movies!!!
Other - You tell us!

If Ratner was never a choice and Singer still left then I would have wanted David Fincher or Alex Proyas. Both would of made interesting X-Men films.

I would of liked Sam Raimi to do it. He has made 2 successful Spider-Man Movies so far and the 3rd should be better than the last two!

Can you tell me what movies they directed? I also voted for Rattner. I mean come on, he wanted to go with the comics more then Singer would. And without a doubt, the third X-Men will be beyond awesome!!

Well, Alex Proyas has directed The Crow, Dark City and I, Robot. David Fincher directed Seven, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room and the upcoming Zodiac.
I'll also add that James Cameron would have made a great X-film as well.

I'm ;D that Ratner got the gig in the end and can't wait to see all his effort, but if the director chair didn't fall on his lap, the only director I can think of and was offered the job by FOX execs until he turned it down regretfully because FOX was in the rush to get it started and he was still busy putting the finishing touches to his movie that hasn't premiered yet at that time and that person is...
Joss Whedon, of the Buffy, Angel, and Firefly fame. Not only is he an avid comic book reader growing up and used Kitty Pryde, his favorite character, as his inspiration to Buffy when he conceived that character, he was also the current writer of X-Men comics and thought of the "Cure" story and Dr. Rao that eventually made it to X3.
My other choice would be and to echo Downhere's choice, is James Cameron.

Though I don't know about the story he was writing Jean basically making everyone crazy! hmm... Don't know about that one.
